Sports Massage - Our TeamKaren McLeodKaren has been at SportsMed for five years and her interest in sports massage stems from her background as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. She works with the Canterbury Crusaders, the Canterbury NPC team, visiting Super 14 teams, PGA golfers, the Canterbury Flames, and the All Blacks. Karen is a NZ Academy of Sport provider to elite athletes. Amanda ArmitageAmanda completed a Diploma in Massage Therapy in 1999 and is a NZ Academy of Sport provider to elite athletes. As well as being registered with Massage New Zealand, Amanda is also a registered Personal Trainer with REP’S. Amanda has competed in ballroom dancing for nine years and participated in international body sculpting competitions. Lynn WilsonLynn trained at the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine and has been practicing massage therapy for 10 years. As well as working at SportsMed, Lynn now lectures at the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine. Lynn's clients include many top level sports athletes including the All Blacks and Canterbury Crusaders as well as general clientele. Lynn is a Remedial Therapist Member of Massage New Zealand and an accredited provider for NZ Academy of Sport. Hans LuttersHans is a Remedial Massage Therapist and Member of Massage New Zealand (MNZ). He completed his diploma in Massage Therapy in The Netherlands where he treated several professional athletes. He is dedicated to sport and studied advanced courses in Kinetics and Injury Prevention. Hans also provides treatment in Manual Lymphatic Drainage based on Lymphodynamic Oedema. He is registered as a Lymphatics and Massage Therapist with the European Association of Sports Massage (EAS) and is an accredited provider for the New Zealand Academy of Sport. |
